Simple Port Wine Vinaigrette
1/2c Port Wine
2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
1Tbsp Rosemary (chopped)
1tsp Shallots (chopped)
1tsp Smoked Paprika
2 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
1c Olive Oil
Start by adding all the ingredients (minus the oil) into a mason jar, place a lid on it and and shake it vigorously until it all blend together.
Next add the oil to your mix, put the lid back on and shake it again until its all well blended.
Note: This technique for simple homemade applications, which means that once it settles it may appear to be separated/broken. Not to worry, this is totally normal. In order to re-suspend all the ingredients in the blend, simply put the lid on it and shake before serving. Its still going to taste just as wonderful and work just as well.
Give it a try, and don‘t be afriad to modify it with your own spin, by using a different wine, or adding a few other spices!
